I studied Film Photography from my senior year of high school through college. A dying art form in the digital age. I watched the college’s dark room shut down my final year. Physical photos and media hold a lot of meaning for me. Ever since I was a teenager, I’ve been fascinated by the boxes in thrift stores, antique malls, garage sales, and flea markets that contain random peoples’ old family photos. It seems like such a barbaric thing to me. Does no one care about these people? Does no one want to keep these memories? Did the person who was holding on to these die and have absolutely no one to leave them to? These questions haunt me, even in my personal artistic practices. This digital zine explores some of my collection alongside those deeper existential thoughts and fears.
